Lifeline Systems

Fall arrest systems that are designed to keep workers safe by keeping them tied off to a wire, rope or rail.

Lifeline systems are a reasonable solutions to protect workers when a passive system is unsuitable. Lifeline systems connect their worker to a wire, rope or rail through some sort of shock absorbing lanyard or self-retracting device. Life line systems can be used to restrain workers from reaching a fall hazard, this type of system is referred to as Fall Restraint. If the worker is still in danger of a fall, then that system is referred to as Fall Arrest. Learn more about the difference between fall arrest and fall restraint.
