A deadweight anchor system
for safe roof access

Our Weightanka freestanding anchor allows you to safely undertake maintenance or servicing tasks on a flat roof, significantly reducing the risks of falling. The system is quick and easy to install and is suitable for up to 2 people working in fall restraint.

Designed to keep you safe & sound

Made of sturdy materials that will not rust in poor weather, Weightanka helps users access potentially hazardous parts of the roof that require servicing or maintenance. Features:

  • Raised central pedestal which reduces the distance of travel during a fall arrest event
  • Over 100 suction cups that are moulded into each rubber bonded weight to maximise grip
  • Designed for use on roofs with up to a 5 degree pitch.

freestanding roof anchor

Completely freestanding

This anchor system will not penetrate or puncture your roof, giving you peace of mind that the surface won't be damaged.

Weightanka uses base layer weights that are fully encased in rubber moulding, making it as gentle as possible for the roof membrane.

Supports multiple workers

Weightanka protects your people. It can be used as an anchor for one worker in arrest or two workers in restraint*. This means that it can safely arrest a falling worker, but can also be used to restrain two workers from reaching the edge when properly tethered.

It is best practice to use Weightanka in fall restraint. The system has been designed to be used with an approved shock absorbing rope grab and rope and full body harness to provide safe access at all times. No part of the Weightanka should be placed closer than 2.5m from the nearest roof edge.

Easy to install and move around

Installation is quick and easy! An Allen key and bar are the only tools needed. Weightanka can be assembled by a single worker.

The system is also easy to deconstruct and reinstall where needed. A single standard weight is made of galvanised steel and weighs 25 kg, which makes it possible for the entire structure to be moved around as required.

Industry compliant

All our systems go through rigorous testing for ensured safety.

Weightanka:

  • Conforms to CLASS E EN 795, BS 7883 & ISO 14567
  • Is CE Approved to PPE Directive
  • Has been independently tested at N.E.L. (National Engineering Laboratory, East Kilbride, N.B. 0320)
  • Is galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461

Incredibly durable

Weightanka uses industrial strength components to ensure durability. Predominantly made of galvanised steel, the structure is designed to be left on the roof permanently, even in harsh weather conditions.

As with any fall protection solution, just ensure that the system is inspected periodically so that you can safely enjoy the benefits of the system for years to come.

Examples of use

Weightanka can be used on its own, allowing users to safely undertake maintenance or servicing tasks on a flat roof, significantly reducing the risks of falling. But it can also be used in conjunction with specifically designed systems to help users keep safe while working on a roof at all times:

Multiple Weightanka units can be configured to create a freestanding, temporary lifeline system (Wireanka). This solution is perfect for temporary maintenance work. This removes the need to install a permanent lifeline system. Wireanka is quick and easy to put together and dismantle.

A Weightanka unit can also be used together with our anchor device for rope access workers. Used this way, workers can access the sides of buildings safely and quickly. Our rope access system is called Accessanka and, just like Weihtanka, can easily be put together and dismantled by a single worker.
